About Ant Leake

I have base in London & Winchester and have worked as a Director of Photography / Lighting Cameraman for over twenty five years.  I worked at Sky News, Documentaries & Features from 1990, traveling extensively and developing the ability to work quickly and efficiently, often in challenging situations. Always keen to broaden my horizons I completed courses at the BBC, the National Film School and Goldsmiths College, before pursuing a freelance career as a DoP / Lighting Cameraman in 1994.

Since then I have worked across a wide variety of genres pursuing my passion and interest in lighting, documentary, commercials and features filming. I have extensive, worldwide experience working as a Director of Photography, Lighting Cameraman and Self-Shooting Director.  My work includes, arts, factual, lifestyle, reconstruction, drama, commercials, current affairs and corporate filming.  I enjoy working as part of a team but am equally happy working under my own initiative.  My work ranges from intimate documentary production through to television features, live music and commercials production.

I set up Bluefin Television in 1994 and have access to a comprehensive range of camera, sound & lighting equipment along with a tried and trusted database technicians.  We have been BBC Approved Suppliers of Equipped Camera Crews since 2006 - a status renewed in 2019 & 2024.
